The amount of $600,000 was held in escrow at transaction closing to pay for estimated Environmental mediation. JANAS negotiated the terms that allowed the Managing Partner to manage the Environmental Cleanup. The final cost was $200,000.
Kenny Strickland, owner of three real estate parcels leased by him to Kenny Strickland, Inc., was concerned about potential Environmental contamination form petroleum products. JANAS interfaced with the Engineering Firm that completed the assessment of the properties. To achieve total warranties for and environmental claims, Strickland sold the properties for 50% of appraised value.
