He has served a broad range of national and multi-national clients in many industries and regularly counsels senior management on complex corporate issues.
Prior to joining Janas, Mike founded Crown Capital Advisors, an investment banking and financial consulting firm that specialized in middle-market businesses. He assisted management in preparing companies for divestiture and represented private owners and subsidiaries of public companies with divestitures and acquisitions.
Mike served as Vice President, Corporate Development of ZERO Corporation, a NYSE company that served the electronics industry. His responsibilities included corporate strategic planning and marketing, acquisitions (8), joint ventures, divestitures (1), and the supervision of operations of a major division.
He was Chief Operating Officer of Biner Ellison Packaging Systems, a manufacturer of packaging machinery. Mike was a Managing Director of Huntington Holdings, Inc., a private merchant banking firm engaged in the acquisition of niche companies in partnership with management.
Mike was a Partner at Price Waterhouse. During his nineteen years at this Big Four Accounting Firm, he dealt with a wide variety of businesses while he participated in the Entrepreneurial Services Group. He supervised acquisition reviews, participated in public offerings, and supervised the examination of financial statements.
Mike has consulted in numerous litigation support projects involving financial, accounting, economic, fraud investigation, valuation, liability and damage issues and he has testified on numerous occasions.
Mike serves or has served on numerous public and private company Boards of Directors, including Advisors Series Trust, an open-end investment company with twenty-nine funds with net assets of approximately $2 billion, Wedbush Bank, where he also serves as Chairman of the audit and the compensation committees, and as past Chairman of the Board of the Bjurman, Barry Funds, an open-end investment company with three funds with net assets of approximately $1 billion. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Brown International Corporation, an international designer and manufacturer of citrus and fruit processing.
He is a frequent lecturer to industry and professional groups and is involved in community affairs.
He holds an M.B.A. with an emphasis in Finance, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in International Business and Finance from the University of Southern California. Mr. LeRoy is a Certified Public Accountant.
