Edgar Johnson is a Managing Director of Janas Associates. He has more than 30 years of experience providing creative solutions to corporate needs. Ed has used his insight into industry trends to shape the direction of companies.
As the Principal in Johnson Enterprises, Ed provided services for such clients as Panasonic, RKO Pictures, Paramount Pictures, iMatte, National Tele-consultants, and Harrison Price Company. Services included acting as a key advisor to provide CEOs with industry trends analysis, market expansion, business development, and planning and evaluation.
Ed was the Founder and President of Panasonic Corporate Systems Company who had Profit & Loss responsibility. He oversaw the development of flagship projects and the customer base. Industry segments included gaming, convention and hospitality, entertainment, sports and transportation.
At Berkshire Motion Pictures, Ed was Senior Vice President responsible for business development and sponsorship programs for destination attractions. He developed the sale of a $38 million entertainment attraction for the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. He developed $42 million in sponsorships and support of entertainment attractions at Luxor and Circus Circus.
Ed was a creator of firsts in film-based attractions in the destination attraction industry at Showcase Films, Los Angeles. He created the firm’s selling model for film rental, licensing and simulation and sold the first products internationally to countries in Europe and the Pacific Rim.
As President of Omnibus Computer Graphics, Ed participated in the IPO and in obtaining secondary financing. He also participated in the acquisition of two larger competitors. He recently advised on the potential sale of a movie and TV props company.
Ed served as Vice President of Studio Development at Paramount Pictures Studios. He was responsible for managing the Planning and Development Department and the New Technology Group.
Ed served on the White House Supporrt Team while serving in the U.S. Army. He received his Graduate of Arts degree from Pfeiffer University.
