R. Carter Freeman is the Chairman of the parent, Janas Corporation, dba Janas Associates and its wholly-owned subsidiaries. Carter has more than 40 years experience providing innovative solutions to corporate needs. He has advised clients in sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions, consulted in complex financial transactions, and arranged financing for clients in the United States and the Pacific Rim.

Carter supported numerous clients in identification, structure and completion of acquisitions, dispositions and mergers. He has successfully matched buyers and sellers and is adept at bridging their differences. He has represented companies in a variety of businesses for sale and has matched them with acquirers. Carter has represented buy-side clients in their searches for acquisitions. He draws upon a lifetime of experience as a deal maker.

Carter has provided professional investment banking services for numerous companies including general product manufacturers, petroleum distributors, retailers, technology providers, lubricant compounding/blending providers, medical product manufacturers and distributors, and service providers. He has participated in major roll-up efforts.

As a senior manager and partner of Touche Ross & Co. and Pannell, Kerr, Forster, he undertook economic feasibility studies, negotiated transactions, and evaluated projects throughout the Pacific Basin. Carter has performed assignments in Australia, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, and others. He organized and led teams of professional firms who performed economic feasibility studies for the governments of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Singapore, and Malaysia. He prepared numerous studies for the development of projects with development costs in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

He has provided investment banking and consulting services to companies of various types and sizes. His services are particularly valuable because of his wide range of experience and his ability to "ask the right questions" to find appropriate answers.

Carter is a member of the Institute of Management Consultants from whom he received the Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation in 1973. Carter is a Certified Public Accountant. Carter is listed in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in Finance. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Emory University, Atlanta. He has taken numerous continuing professional education courses.
