A Briefing was presented about China “Heilongjiang,” the ceremony of “Charming Heilongjiang” TV Week, and the Two Year Anniversary of North America Broadcasting of Heilongjiang TV. The meeting was held on September 24, 2007 at the San Gabriel Hilton Hotel.

Both Prof. Kern Kwong and Prof. Kwan Ming Chan were invited to the event. Prof. Kwong has many years of experience in providing training courses for provincial officers. Prof. Kwong also serves as Chairman Asia Pacific of Janas Associates. Prof. Chan has promoted science and technology in Heilongjiang Province, located in Northern China. Mr. Li Zhanshu, Executive Vice-Governor, delivered a speech on the developments in the Province and invited the audience to support the promotion of economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges between California and Heilongjiang Province.

The conference was attended by the LA Consulate General, Mr Zhang Yun, Cultural Counsel, Mr. Chen, Ms. Sue Zhang of Qinghua Education Foundation, and other community leaders. R. Carter Freeman, Chairman of Janas Associates, met privately with Mr. Li to discuss how Janas Associates and Mr. Li’s office might work together to promote the Province.

R. Carter Freeman is Chairman, and Kern Kwong is Chairman Asia Pacific and a Managing Director of Janas Associates, Investment Bankers and Management Consultants.
