Chris Ball has more than
20-years experience leading the development of technology products
and as an investment banker. He has successfully demonstrated an
ability to develop and execute business strategies internationally
and the skill to provide innovative approaches.
He has been an Investment Banker at
Janas Associates for five years
and has successfully led assignments that included the sale of
Rainmaster to Toro. He was instrumental in selling Sierra Energy by
division to a variety of purchasers. Chris has worked as a Team
Member on a number of M&A projects including manufacturing, service
providers, petroleum distribution, technology and companies.
He was the founder and President of
Strategic Initiatives, Inc., a financial and general management
consulting firm. He developed comprehensive business strategies,
advised on mergers and acquisitions for middle market companies, and
helped start-up technology companies raise capital.
Chris was previously the Director,
Business Planning and Product Development for a new business venture
within International Rectifier, the market leader for power
semiconductors. As part of the Executive Management Team of the
unit, Chris was instrumental in developing the strategies and the
business plan that led to securing $40 million in capital for
launching the venture.
He played a crucial role in executing
the strategy and growing the unit to revenues of $20 million in less
than four years. Chris developed solid relationships with customers
based in the U.S., Europe, Asia, and South America that enabled
critical negotiations to transpire smoothly. His leadership led to
several, successful product introductions.
Before joining International
Rectifier, Chris held various leadership roles at TRW Inc.
Throughout his 10-year career at TRW, his focus was to lead the
development of new technology products, such as complex air bag
electronics systems and silicon based sensors.
Chris developed and managed new
business opportunities at TRW with major domestic and international
automotive OEMs. The accounts he managed were typically in excess of
$20 million each in annual revenue.
Chris earned his Master of Business
Administration (MBA) degree from the Purdue University Krannert
Graduate School of Management and his Bachelor of Sciences degree in
Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
