Brian Wygle is a Managing
Director of Janas Associates,
providing corporate finance, mergers and acquisition advisory,
strategic planning and management consulting services for middle
market clients.
Brian has more than 20 years of
experience as an investment banker and management consultant
specializing in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions,
strategic planning, turnarounds, and interim management. He has
developed budget and profit plans, long range financial plans,
working capital plans, and merger and acquisition or divestiture
plans.
During his career, Brian has
consulted with companies in many industries, providing him with a
solid understanding of business practices across a wide spectrum of
industries. His assignments have included a Turnaround Plan as
senior advisor to the board for a $40 million, publicly-traded
manufacturing company. He developed a Turnaround Plan for a Personal
Computer Manufacturer and Distributor. He advised in the
restructuring and start-up of Motion Picture and Record production
companies, including negotiating distribution and financing.
Brian also negotiated financing for a
Consumer Electronics Distribution company, and developed a business
plan and arranged financing for a Marine Products company. He
negotiated a $10 million credit facility for a Manufacturing company
with multiple retail locations, and developed a restructuring and
sale plan for a manufacturing company in Chapter 11. He developed
and implemented a turnaround strategy for a medical device
manufacturer.
Brian’s approach is “hands-on.” He
served as Chief Financial Officer of a computer manufacturing
company with sales of $40 million, and as Chief Executive Officer of
a retail chain with sales of $150 million. He advised in the
pooling, securitization and sale of mortgage portfolios in the
secondary market, and has been actively involved in the purchase,
sale and management of real estate in California, Hawaii, and
Arizona.
Brian purchased an oil production
company in 2000. He was involved in all aspects of the company from
drilling to distribution. He restructured the company and sold the
assets in 2005, achieving a 900% return on investment. He purchased
and manages a cattle and horse ranch operation in Arizona. He
invested in and managed an electrical component sales and
distribution company. Brian has written and lectured on management
and leadership issues, and negotiation strategy.
Brian brings a solid understanding of
financial, accounting, and legal matters, proven experience in
leadership and change management, and a unique ability to solve
problems and present options.
